SCHOOL MASTERPLAN
Claremont Fan Court School | Esher | Surrey
Claremont Fan Court School is a private School located in Esher, Surrey. The nationally important Grade I listed historic estate is situated in the greenbelt and contains Grade I, II and II* listed buildings. Prior to becoming a School, the mansion house, built in 1774, was home to, amongst others, Lord Clive of India and Queen Victoria. Notable architectural contributions to the site have included Sir John Vanbrugh, Capability Brown and William Kent.
The masterplan at the School represents a prolonged period of development; upgrading facilities, protecting historic assets and creating an overarching and cohesive campus. The first phase - the science, technology and design studios - completed in 2019. The second phase, Stable Court, is currently on site and due for opening in Autumn 2021. Further phases in the development include the upgrade of the Joyce Grenfell Centre, a music pavilion, a humanities building as well as the continual upgrade of landscape and heritage assets.
