RIVER GARTH
Teddington | Surrey

An old wall spans the length of the proposal from which the new home springs from. Located within an opportune development location in Teddington, Surrey, this home is compact yet light and airy. A glass topped corridor straddles and separates the new from the old along the northern adjacency; which gives way to a monolithic and solid form upon entering the home.

Upon entering the property, the key living spaces are located on the first floor with an associated external terrace overlooking the central courtyard. A double height living space is located at the front of the property with a distinct light brick proposed in combination with a zinc standing seam roof. The lantern roof forms help to ground the overall proposal against the adjacencies. Mature planting and subtle changes in level contribute to the proposal within its very special context.
